Building Your Network Marketing
Business
Through Progressive Leadership

Plus, A Sure-Fire Way to Drastically Increase
Leadership Duplication Within Your Organization

Building your network marketing business into a successful organization depends on you and the skills you develop. One of the most important, yet difficult skills needed in order to succeed is that of leadership.

Leadership is one of the key concepts so vital to mlm success, yet it's often misunderstood because it is more of a theoretical concept. More of a progressive mentality that one decides to take on if you will.

The problem with leadership development is it can be difficult to duplicate and we all know that duplication is what network marketing is all about. The objective of building your network marketing business is based on using people as leverage to build your organization.

If even one person in your organization were to duplicate your efforts you'd be light years ahead of anything you could have ever accomplished on your own. 1% of the efforts of 10 people is way better than 10% of your own efforts right?

If you'll apply the fundamental leadership skills needed to succeed in network marketing, it'll be much easier for your team to duplicate you.

By modeling your leadership abilities, your team will automatically become more effective to their team members, in turn, making them even more effective. It all starts with you.

To help you get started in building your network marketing business as a progressive leader, allow me to expand on the two qualities all leaders should have along with a clear distinction of when the leadership process begins.

You may be surprised at what you learn.

The Two Defining Qualities of a Leader

Of all the qualities needed for a network marketing leader to succeed, there's none more important than those of personal action and long term commitment. Let's briefly expand on both.

1) Personal Action - Building your network marketing business all starts and ends with action. The people out there looking for help and guidance are going to be naturally attracted to those who are consistent day in and day out.

I'd much rather learn from someone who, day-in and day-out, is taking action to build their network marketing business than someone who just talks a good talk. Personal action is where it all begins.

2) Long Term Commitment - Having a vision for your life and future will help you sustain your leadership. In fact, writing down your long-term vision and commitment alone, puts you in the ranks of less than 3% of the population.

Most network marketers never even take the time to write down what they want, and instead, spring into action with no vision or network marketing plan.

Make the decision right now, to either "get in" or "get out." In other words, either make the commitment to begin either building your network marketing business wholeheartedly, or choose to do something else.

When Does Leadership Begin?

Let me ask you a question?

If your upline has 10,000 people in his organization and you are still in the prospecting phase of your business, which one of you is more of a leader?

The answer may seem simple enough at first since your upline actually has people to lead. But don't be so quick to answer.

You see, in my opinion, real leadership begins during the prospecting process and NOT once you have a huge organization (or any organization at all).

Real leadership is about personal action and long-term commitment. Even before you have sponsored a soul you can be a leader in your prospecting process by simple setting the expectations with your potential downline members.

Your Job as a Leader

As you go about your prospecting, your main job is to identify pre-qualified mlm recruits and create a mutually beneficial relationship for the two of you.

Once you have identified a qualified lead, before you have them sign on the proverbial dotted line, you'll want to be upfront and very honest as to how the relationship needs to work. It should be a mutually beneficial relationship between you and your downline.

You'll outline a series of steps for them to take and their job is to do everything within their power to accomplish those steps. If they get stuck, or just can't find a way to overcome their challenges, now as a leader and an upline, it's your time to step in and help them solve their challenge.

You see, building your network marketing business doesn't require you to hold each one of your prospects' hands step-by-step through the process (although we'd all like that). People need to become independent business owners and develop real problem solving skills on their own.

As a leader, you are their last line of defense; when they've exhausted all their other options (watched the videos, read through the workbooks, posted questions in the forums, etc) you will be there to help them work through their challenges.

Building your network marketing business by practicing this unique way of leadership allows you to keep things simple for you and your team members.

It will help ensure that each of you holds true to your end of the bargain. The simplicity and clarity of your relationship will drastically increase the chances of your downline recruits being able to duplicate you and your efforts.
