Choosing a Network Marketing Company
What a Winning MLM Must Have Part 2 of 2
Choosing a network marketing company that is best for you requires you to pay attention to several different things. In part one, we discussed commission structure and product demand.
Let's continue onto compensation plans and budgeting.
Must Have #3: An Easy-to-Understand Compensation Plan
Network marketing compensation plans don't have to be complicated.
Research into the different types of plans is very important but the most important thing is that you understand it. Know your compensation plan frontwards and backwards so that you can explain it to your prospects.
You're an intelligent person (if you weren't you wouldn't be reading this right now) so if you have trouble grasping the plan, can you imagine how hard it'll be for your prospects?
Must Have #4: Requires Less Than a $500 Initial Buy-In
Great network marketing companies are a dime-a-dozen nowadays and there shouldn't be any reason why a company requires any less than $500 on your initial buy-in.
Even if the company has higher levels you can upgrade to, your initial investment shouldn't break the bank. Remember, your goal not only in choosing a network marketing company but in all your efforts is to profit as soon as possible. The more you put out initially, the harder it's going to be to make it up later on.
Watch Out For:
- Outrageous earnings claims (i.e. "50,000 in 2 months")
- Compensation plans that claim "they build your business for you
- Anything that looks too good to be true
Must Have #5: Appeal to You
I saved this one for last because it is bar-none the most important aspect of choosing a network marketing company.
After you've gone through the above checklist and found a winning company, you'll want to assess your passion for the products and services it offers.
Would you use the products yourself? Would you have trouble recommending them to people who were looking for them? Could you sell just the product line even if you never sponsored anyone?
Those are a few questions you'll want to ponder as you're choosing a network marketing company.
In fact, it may be a good idea to identify your passion (i.e. health and wellness, personal development, etc) first, and then perform research on all the companies that fit your excitement. There's no right or wrong way to go about doing this.
Remember, if all else fails don't hesitate to do a trial run on any company you are interested in.
Any good company will have a way you can at least test out the products and services before you commit long-term; even if it's 30 days. Don't be afraid to make a mistake.
