Before You Generate MLM Leads Follow These 3 Steps.
Network Marketers often start to generate mlm leads without taking the proper steps to identify what type of leads they want.
They'll spend hours setting up advertising and making phone calls only to end up back where they started. They may even end up recruiting people who are the exact opposite of what they wanted in the first place.
Before you get started generating leads for your business, don't make the same mistakes. Here are three steps you can take to save yourself alot of time and headaches in the future.
(1) Determine What Type of Person Would Be Good MLM Lead for Your Business
Knowing what type of lead to recruit isn’t always “clear-cut.". Oftentimes, we are so caught up trying to figure out how to recruit, we forget the importance of also identifying who to recruit.
There are steps you can take to make this process easier.
The best way I know of start to generate mlm leads is to first perform a deep brainstorm. The purpose of this is to determine what type of person would be ideal for your mlm team.
I should point out that "brainstorming" can be a very mentally taxing but necessary process. Because critical thinking is required (it's not always a "do-this, do-that" process), we tend to avoid brainstorming altogether. Please don't discount the importance of using your imagination to brainstorm before begin generate mlm leads.
Go through a deep analyzing process on the type of person you are trying to recruit for your business. If you can see this routine through, you'll have a very clear picture of your ideal mlm lead.
Ask yourself questions such as:
Who is my ideal prospect? (age, income, demographics, etc)
What are their needs, concerns, problems?
What are their hopes, dreams, and aspirations?
What are the things that are holding them back from accomplishing their goals?
Answering these questions will allow you to deeper understand your prospects and be able to connect with them on a more personal level.
(2) Don’t Plan on Sponsoring Everybody?
When I first got into Network Marketing, I was easily sold on the concept of MLM. I thought it was a brilliant idea. I loved the idea leveraging a team of people to increase my income while helping others to do the same.
I made the mistake of thinking that everyone else would share my same passion. To make matters worse, my MLM company told me lies such as “everyone is your customer,” or “everyone wants this.”
This is not the case…
So many people out there have been scammed and taken advantage of, not only in MLM, but work-at-home businesses in general. Not everyone is interested in Network Marketing.
Before you begin to generate mlm leads, develop the mindset that not every person is going to be a good fit for you and your team.
You’ll want to customize your marketing to generate mlm leads of a certain “type." Try to narrow down this demographic of customer as much as you can.
Particularly, you'll want to
market to people who are most likely to be interested in a Network Marketing or home business.
(3) Determine What You Want?
Before you generate mlm leads, think about your own wants and needs first. This may seem selfish or backwards from what you've been taught in the past. However, it’s necessary for you to do so BEFORE you start plastering your marketing message out on the internet.
Example: If you know you want a super-star all star team of prospects that will take the business seriously, you need to know that before you begin crafting your message.
Indeed, practicing these steps before you generate mlm leads is a process that you’ll consistently tweak as you go along. However, now you can more effectively begin the process.
If you’ve already started, you can make the necessary adjustments to know which types of people to work with and how to know who you should recruit and sponsor.
