This may seem obvious but it's amazing how many people put their emphasis on the wrong things. They chase compensation plans, boast of superior products, and idealize their company's corporate leadership.
Those things are all very important, especially when deciding which company you should go with, however, they are not as important as your Marketing

Marketing is marketing and it applies to us no matter what business we are in.

Three Important Tips For Your MLM Marketing
(1) Market Yourself
Here's a great MLM marketing tip for you.
The most compelling marketing weapon you have in your stockpile is YOU.
Why is this?
Because unlike business opportunities or products, there's only one of you.
The majority of your prospect's decision is based upon you and the value you give them.
Your company products, comp plan, and leader's are more like nice little bonuses. They are the icing on the cake rather than the filling.
Ultimately, YOU will be the reason people join your opportunity.
Let's move forward with....
(2) Market Your Marketing System
Your prospects are begging for someone to come along and show them a legitimate "system" they can plug into when it comes to growing their business. I know this firsthand because I was once (and still am to a degree) one of those people.
Quick story...
I remember going to Thursday night meetings in one of my former companies. The meetings were held at my uplines' house and they were always extremely motivational.
One of the top dawgs in our company would come to every meeting and speak to us about the dream of "Owning Your Own Life." (i.e. working for yourself, residual income, etc)
He was a phenomenal speaker and did a great job of helping us believe (briefly) that we could achieve THE DREAM.
There was one problem though...
Although all of us were feeling high as a kite after listening to the motivational speeches of this top distributor, we didn't learn any specific strategies or marketing techniques. In other words, we never seemed to touch on the subject of "how" to actually build a business.
Sure, he gave us vague suggestions. But none of those ideas seemed professional, and/or specific enough to put into action.
I KNOW I can't be the only one who has experienced this lack of clarity.
Therefore, I highly recommend PROVING to your potential prospect that you have a viable, professional solution to building a stable, long-term business, before you tell them about your opportunity.
How do you do this?
(3) Use Educational Marketing
Have you ever heard the saying "Teaching Sells?"
It's a well known fact among peak performers of any industry that one of the smartest things you can do for yourself and your business is position yourself as an expert.
Using educational marketing to get prospects to come to you is often referred to as Attraction Marketing.

In order to be positioned as an expert, it's important to show people you know what you're talking about.
In other words, don't just tell them you're good....show them.
The best way to do this is through an educational process. You basically teach people how to build their business before they actually join yours.
If you teach them what they need to know, people will be sold on you, and then on your business.
These are what I consider (and I'm not the only one) to be the 3 MOST important mlm marketing secrets.
