Why Your MLM Strategy Must
Include Email Marketing In Order to Maximize Effectiveness

Thanks to a carefully crafted mlm strategy, many Network Marketers have made it to intermediate and even advanced levels of lead generation. They've successfully applied attraction marketing principles and begun to generate leads.

If you're at this point you may be wondering what's needed next to further pre-sell and pre-qualify those leads in order to increase your chances of sponsoring them into your downline.

Using email marketing is one of the next steps in your mlm strategy. Using email to connect with people remains one of the best ways to deepen your relationship with them.

However, you may be a bit cautious to send out emails to your list especially if you haven't done alot of it in the past. You don't want to "screw things up."

After all, you've worked hard to generate those leads and you don't want to throw away your hard work by saying the wrong things to your prospects at the wrong time.

Make no mistake, if you can get your email prospects to open up your emails on a consistent basis you're well on your way to sponsoring heaven.

Email leads are some of the highest-response leads out there (especially if you generated the lead yourself through your own channels).

By the time you get them calling you, most of your "selling" will have already been done for you subconsciously as prospects can't help but trust you when you provide value to them.

Not only that, but you'll get to the point where you can generate cash on demand simply by sending out affiliate product reviews and offers to your list.

(I know of some attraction marketing gurus that generate anywhere from $5,000-10,000 anytime they send out an email with a product offer so long as they don't abuse the system)

We're getting ahead of ourselves though....First things first.

We need to learn to gain the trust of our leads. In order to do so let's review how email marketing fits into the overall Smart MLM Business strategy.

How Email Marketing Fits into the MLM Strategy

If you read my earlier article, you learned that for the purposes of mlm lead generation, there are 3 parts to the formula.

(1) Prospects find your point of contact marketing (ezines, articles, videos, ads, etc)(2) They give you permission to contact them by opting into a list (3) You continue to build trust and credibility by deepening your relationship with them through emails/other content.

If you're geared up and ready to start email marketing you've made it to step 3. Email marketing is by far one of the best ways you can build trust and keep people's attention.

Email connects with people in a personal way that no other type of marketing can. Despite the increase in "spam," studies show that people still enjoy getting emails from the right people.

There's definately a "right" and "wrong" way to go about it though so pay close attention.

Your MLM Strategy When Sending Emails

When setting out to create an email, there's a certain MLM strategy I want you to keep in mind to ensure you keep your prospects' attention.

(A) Remind People Why Their Receiving Emails From You

We never want to assume everyone is going to remember opting into your email list. The net is saturated with newsletters and people will often join 2 or 3 at a time. A simple reminder within the subject line or first paragraph will do (some email systems do this for you automatically).

In later articles I'll show you some examples of how to remind people in a "friendly" way, why you're sending them emails.

(B) Give Value in Their Specific Topic of Interest.

It seems like common sense, however it's easy to get sidetracked in an email and start talking about unrelated subjects. People subscribed to your list likely because of a specific idea you presented to them.

Naturally, you'll want to continue to write about that subject (at least for the first few emails) in order to keep their attention. Give them value in their area of interest in a way they can understand.

(C) Decide What Action You Want Them To Take Next

An ideal MLM strategy always has a purpose. It's no different when sending out your emails. First, decide what you want action you'd like your people to take. It doesn't always have to be $'s related.

Sometimes you may want to send an email to notify people of a new blog post. Other times you'll invite them to contact you personally on the phone. Either way, make sure you know what action you'd like them to take before sending an email. Otherwise, you'll never know what type of results you're getting.

(D) Know What The Benefit Is For You

If you've noticed, up until this point al,l of the steps have been focused mainly on the "other" person. This has been purposely orchestrated this way.

Attraction marketing is all about putting the other person first. However, once you've provided value to someone, you now have permission to think about yourself and what you'd like to accomplish from the email process. You'll decide what the benefit of them taking action is for you.

Once again, it won't always be money related. Sometimes you'll just want them to read more of your stuff to deepen the relationship and trust of your prospects. Other times you'll want to be a helpful resource just for the heck of it. Don't hesitate to monetize when the time is right (we'll talk about when in future articles)

Use Email to "Synergize" Your Marketing

A type of MLM strategy specific to email marketing Mike Klingler introduced me to once is called "synergistic marketing." It's a unique concept that basically involves the use of many different online mediums, "synergized" together to deepen the trust and pre-selling process.

An example might be to send out a simple email. Within that email you "tease" your prospect into visiting your blog where you posted an article. While reading your blog, the prospect finds a video you posted and decides to watch it.

What is happening behind the scenes is your prospective lead is (1) taking action (very important,) (2) becoming educated, and (3) gaining more and more of your trust with every piece of content exposed to.

All of your content "synergizes" together to move your prospect further and further along in the process. Email is the first step in synergizing the rest of your content.

There's no feeling like implementing your mlm strategy and watching it "synergize" your prospects into taking more action.

When creating your emails be sure to keep your main goals/objectives in mind at all times and be mindful of where you are within the lead generation formula.
