Simplify Your MLM Traffic With These Three Methods
MLM Traffic is the 2nd most important component to your business-building program (Content is first). Website traffic building is essential for short and long-term success.
You may have the best product in the world, the greatest comp plan on the planet, and even be a fantastic leader, but if nobody knows about you, it's pointless.
Oh and by the way...you'll never make any money if you can't generate any traffic....ouch!
Three Ways to Generate MLM Traffic to Your Website
There are 3 ways to generate traffic (specifically MLM targeted traffic) to your website.
Here's a brief explanation, along with my pro's and con's of each.
(1) Buy MLM Traffic
Buying traffic can be a very effective and quick way to inject your website with targeted visitors. However, it does have some pitfalls and downsides to it.
I'll use the "Google Adwords" (pay-per-click) program as an example because it's the most common way traffic is bought.
Almost everyone uses Google when they search for information on the web including people interested in Network Marketing.
When people type in MLM-related terms into the search box (MLM success, MLM coach), Google returns hundreds of thousands of results.
Smart MLM business owners realize that if their website doesn't show up on the first page, they'll never generate any MLM traffic.
Therefore, they are willing to pay Google (sometimes a substantial amount) in order to have their ad show up.
You'll notice these at the top or the right hand side of the pages in the "sponsored links" section(s).
THE PROS:
Buying traffic using Google Adwords is, without question, the fastest traffic generation technique on the planet.
Because sooo many people use google to search for information (tens of millions of people per day), once your advertisement is up, you could generate tons traffic to your lead capture page and/or website within minutes.
It's also very "targeted" because your ads are only shown to people who have typed in a keyword related to your term (i.e. network marketing).
If you dislike writing content and/or have ALOT of cash to spend, this might ulitmately be your MLM traffic method of choice.
Ann Seig, who is widely considered the founder of "Internet network marketing," focused most of her business building efforts on this method alone and has grown her business to $250,000/month within just a few short years.
Think smart if you're going to tackle this method and make sure you learn from some industry experts before you begin.
THE CONS:
This an expensive and risky method. If you don't know what your doing, Google will eat your campaign (and your wallet) alive.
It also takes ALOT of time to test, track, and tweak campaigns.
In addition to that, you largely miss out on the opportunity to build a relationship with your prospects before they get to you.
Let me explain what I mean...
In order to be effective with buying advertisments, you'll want to monetize AS QUICKLY as you can so you can stay afloat. Therefore, you'll immediately send prospects to your lead capture page or paid product.
This isn't a bad thing, but I, personally, would rather have them come to know me first through my blog, facebook page, website, etc. Then later on if they like what I have to say, I'll direct them to a paid product or lead capture site.
Remember, YOU are the reason people will join your opportunity.
(2) Borrowing MLM Traffic (i.e. joint ventures)
Within your industry there are undoubtedly several other business owners who have built large email lists of prospects.
You could approach an owner and set up a "joint venture."
This is where the owner of the email list promotes something of yours (i.e. an ebook, free report) in exchange for an affiliate commission or other form of compensation.
THE PROS:
Tapping into an existing customer base of traffic one of the best things a business owner can do.
Prospects on the owners' email list probably have a good relationship with that individual. If he/she recommends something of yours, expect to see a high conversion (I've seen as high as 50-60%)
THE CONS:
This method works so well, I can't think of any cons.
Nonetheless, here are some reasons you may not want to put your focus here.
For starters, if you're brand-new or lack credibility you may be wasting your time.
Because, if someone has a PRE-sold email list of prospects that respects them and their opinion, they're probably not going to want to recommend a "newbie's" report or ebook.
If they're a savvy business owner (like you are) they'll want to only partner up with people who have a proven track record of success (don't worry you'll be there soon).
Now, I don't say this to make you feel bad or even discourage you. That's the last thing I want to happen.
On the contrary, I want to empower you to spend your valuable time on methods that will give you the greatest results with the least amount of time and money.
That's smart business.
Instead I recommend focusing your attention on...
(3) Redirecting MLM Traffic
We're going to focus on method number 3 because this can be done for free.
Redirecting traffic is nothing more than posting your content onto websites that already have a ton of traffic coming to them. Within your content, you'll have links that point them back to your website and/or lead capture page.
THE PROS:
You begin building a relationship with people through your valuable content for FREE.
Through your video sharing, blog posts, and articles, people will come to know you and like you.
You also have the advantage of being able to "mess up" and not have to pay for it. (at least with your hard earned $'s)
THE CONS:
This MLM Traffic building program takes time. You may not see immediate results which can be discouraging. (this is only con I could come up with)
Here are some websites you can post content onto and link to your blog or lead capture page for FREE.
...and the list goes on and on.
You don't need to use all of these right away. Start with 2 or 3 and track your results. From there, you can evaluate which traffic sources are giving you the most bang for your buck and put your focus on those.
Apply these simple changes in your business and you'll start to generate lots of website visitors. You'll be able to prospect 100's or even 1000's of people in the same time it takes to prospect one.
