How to Identify a Qualified Network Marketing Business Opportunity Lead

(Plus the Four Areas You Must Explore In
Order to Be Sure Your Lead is Ready)

A network marketing business opportunity lead is essentially someone who has raised their hand and said "I'm interested in learning more about what is being offered."

Up until now, if you've struggled to convert leads at the ratio you would like, it may not be your fault. You were probably doing the best you could with the information you had.

The problem may not be that you don't have enough leads or even "good leads." The issue most likely stems from not working with your most "qualified" leads.

Your time is valuable and you can't afford to spend it with people who aren't a good fit for your business.

On the other hand, once you've identified those who are qualified and would make good business partners, you're on your way to sponsoring success.

Your conversion ratio will increase dramatically and you'll have more fun than you ever thought possible. Spending time with those who have a genuine need, interest, and desire to be in business takes so much of the stress off your shoulders and allows you to relax and be yourself.

Here are the four key areas you'll want to explore with each network marketing business opportunity lead through a dialogue that will help you identify a qualified mlm lead.

(1) Interest Level

The first area you'll want to ask your network marketing business opportunity lead about is their interest level pertaining specifically to network marketing.

Many people have an interest in starting a business or working a home business, but not all associate that idea with network marketing. A network marketing home business lead may be interested in multiple business' and may not have narrowed down what it is that he/she really wants to do.

In order to qualify for what you have to offer, they need to be interested in network marketing.

(2) Depth of Their Desire

The second area you'll want to explore with your network marketing business opportunity lead is the depth of their desire.

What you're trying to identify in regards to this area is the prospects' "why."

What is it that they want to fix, accomplish, or avoid by getting into the business?

Everyone has their own reasons for joining and they will join on their terms, not ours. Nevertheless, knowing what motivates prospects emotionally allows you to tap into that desire when needed.

Tip: Go through and analyze all four of these areas about yourself: You'll be amazed at the clarity this will bring to you and your vision. Not only that, but you'll have personal experiences to draw from when conversing with your leads.

(3) Budget

When it comes to money talk, people often get defensive.

Who can blame them with so many peddlers out there trying to take advantage of people.

Approach the subject of "budgeting" by letting your network marketing business opportunity lead know that you're not looking for a specific "right" or "wrong" answer.

You just want them to be realistic with you so that you can determine if what you have to offer would be a good fit for them. They'll appreciate your honesty.

(4) Time Allotment

Once again, you're not looking for a correct number here (although if someone has less than 10-12 hours/week to spend on their business, you may want to think twice about whether they're qualified for what you have to offer).

Promoting a business is going to require a combination of time, money, and energy. Of the three, time may be the most important qualifier since it's the one thing you can never get back.

People with good business sense recognize time as an asset and if they're willing to spend alot of time prospecting and working their business, that says alot about the type of person they're willing to become.

As always, there are many determining factors involved when trying to identify or "pre-qualify" a network marketing business opportunity lead.

These are the four keys that should always be included in that process as they will have the greatest impact on the success of a network marketer.

Rest assured that if you take the time to properly identify qualified leads, your conversion ratios will go up and you'll spend more of your valuable time with future assets to your business.
