What Every Network Marketing
Plan
Needs to Account For

Plus, The Most Effective Way to
Budget For You Know What...

When people creating a network marketing plan, whether it be for themselves or their downline, one of the fist things they analyze is their fiscal budget.

They want to know exactly where they stand regarding their finances so they can know how much to invest in their business and how fast they can grow it.

They operate under the mentality of "it takes money to make money." There's definately some truth to that saying and identifying how much money you can and are willing to invest in your marketing and prospecting is one of the first steps to creating an effective network marketing plan.

However, without first walking yourself through some other exercises, it's very difficult to know the magic number of money to invest.

Not only that, but money is not the only factor you'll need to account for. There are two other components you don't want to negelect when creating your network marketing plan.

TIME and ACTION.

If you can first identify the amount of time you have available to work on your business along with how much effort and action you can exert within that time, you'll have a better understanding of how much money to invest.

After going through this process you may find you don't need to fork out as much as you thought you would.

Where to Start Your Network Marketing Plan

As mentioned before, you're going to need to allocate a certain amount of time, effort, and money into your business. The best way I know of is to first determine how much available time you have to work on your business.

Note I said "available time" and not just "time." All of us are alloted the same 24 hours per day so technically we all have "time" to work on our business.

However, much of that time is used up working a job, exercising, and spending time with family. We all have responsibilities to take care of.

Therefore, after your responsibilities are taken care of, how much time do you actually have left to work on business-related activites?

Be honest with yourself and do your best to balance your activites. You don't want to neglect your family just because you have a goal to make $50,000 in 6 months. After you've identified your time allotment for each day, it's time to take the next step in your network marketing plan.

You need to determine what type of actions to take within that time and how much effort you can realistically put into your business. For example: Let's say you've chosen to spend 80% of your "available time" dialing out to purchased leads in order to identify which ones qualify for what you have to offer.

Unless you've done this before and have tracked your efforts you wont know how many dials you can make and how many people to reasonably expect to reach. Therefore you'll want to do two things:

(A) Make a prediction as to how many dials you can make, and how many people you'll reach, and...

(B) Begin tracking as many different relevant metrics as you can. (i.e. dials made, people talked to, appointments scheduled, time of day called, etc).

Now that you've made your predictions, and have solid numbers to work with, you know how many purchased leads to budget for. Make sense? You may be thinking "I can't realistically predict how much I'm going to be able to accomplish with my endeavors," and you're absolutely right.

At first you'll just have to guess. As you start tracking your effort, you can adjust your budget accordingly. I recommend tracking for a 6 week period and at the end of that period re-assessing your budget.

Let's recap:

The ABC's of Budgeting Your Business

(A) Identify Your Available Time Budget

(B) Identify Your Actions

(C) From the Identified Actions, Identify Your Money Budget

There's no doubt that your time constraints and available budget will fluctuate throughout the year.

Because of this, you'll need to constantly re-evaluate how much time, effort, and money you're able to put into your business in that exact order.

The process of creating a network marketing plan takes a bit of time to get used to but will become second nature with some determination.
