How to Attract More Qualified MLM Leads
By Optimizing Your Internet Content
(part 1 of 2)

Generating qualified MLM leads using the internet is what attraction marketing is all about.  In order to do so, you need to become a content creator or have the means to pay someone  to do it for you.

Some would argue that creating content is a Network Marketers' biggest challenge. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not.  I feel one of the biggest problems Networkers have is not only creating content, but generating significant mlm traffic to that content.

Traffic is what you need if you're going to generate any type of qualified mlm leads for your business.

One of the best ways I know of to get more qualified mlm leads, is to get more traffic to your website or blog by using search engines.  When done correctly, search engine optimization can deliver loads of FREE traffic to you for months on end.

However, search engines can be a complicated beast.  They have hundreds of  criteria they use to analyze a page's value and performance.  Search engine companies employ some of the smartest people on the planet to engineer technology that spider's and ranks pages.  They do this to ensure they continuously deliver the best value.

It would be darn near impossible for anyone (other than a Google engineer) to crack the "exact" code and specifications search engines use to rank pages. Therefore, we won't even attempt.

However,  knowing some of the basic components of search engine optimization will help you generate more traffic to your webiste.  Focusing on what has been proven to work year after year will help you generate more qualified mlm leads at the same time.

In this article series,  I'll explain what you need to know about optimizing your pages along with two main components of search engine optimization.

What to Optimize

When people think of search engine optimization they automatically picture their website or blog pages ranking high on Google. The majority of your highly-ranking content will probably be your written pages.

However, other types of content you can optimize are your squidoo lens’, articles, and even videos (highly recommended).   Don’t limit yourself to only optimizing blog posts and/or web pages.

Different types of content will yield different results and your goal is to identify what is working best for you and optimize from there.

Remember, you want to practice good attraction marketing principles to ensure you gain the best, most qualified mlm leads.

The 2 Components of SEO: Starting With the Basics

Within the scope of this article we won’t have enough room to go into all you’ll ever need to know about SEO. Nevertheless,  we can start with the basics and expand from there.

The two 2 basic components that get your content found on the search engines are:

#1.  Keyword density within your content.
#2.  Link value

These are also often referred to as “on page criteria” and “off page criteria.”

Keyword Density in Your Content

In order for a search engine to spider your content and rank it in terms of relevance, you need to provide sufficient information about what your content page is actually about.

You do this by placing keyword "hooks" into the file name, title, headline, description, and body of your article.

Here’s some quick tips on each section of your webpage.

File Name:

The file name is the specified web address for a particular page.

Example:  www.smart-mlm-business.com/qualified-mlm-leads.html is the file name for this page.  The keyword I am optimizing for is "qualified mlm leads" so it’s only natural for me to include that in my file name.

Title:

The title of your page is usually what will appear in the search engine listing after a search is performed.  Once someone has clicked on the title of your page, they will no longer see it.

Preferrably, you want your keyword as close to the front of your page title as possible (no further than the third word if you can help it)

Let’s use “Network Marketing Books” as our keyword for this article and illustrate how to create an effictive title that will please the search engines and make them more likely to spider our content.

Bad example:

"How to Get More Qualified MLM Leads by Reading More Network Marketing Books"

the keyword “network marketing books” is too far back in the title.  This makes it difficult for a search engine to discover what you’re article is about.

Good example:

"How Network Marketing books Can Help You Get More Qualified MLM Leads"

Notice how close the keyword is to the front of the title.  This makes it easy for a search engine to determine the scope of your article.

Description:

The description also shows only on the search engine listing page under the page title.  You want your keyword to show up as close to the beginning as possible.

Example:  "For more qualified mlm leads, make sure you follow these 3 simple steps.  They've been proven to work time after time to attract more qualified mlm leads."

Headline:

It’s a good idea to include at least one headline on your page not only to compel your visitor to read your article, but to also give the search engines another chance to recognize what your page is all about.

As with the title of your page, keep the keyword as close to the beginning as you can.

Tip: You can reword the title of your page to create a headline.

Body:

Infuse the body of your article with your keyword and/or secondary keywords.  There’s no exact formula for the amount of times you need to place the keyword in the body. A good rule of thumb is to treat the body like an hourglass.

Use your selected keyword generously in the beginning of your page and slowly phase it out as you get towards the middle.  Then slowly begin to phase it back in as you near the conclusion of the article and use it fairly generously towards the end again.

Those are some quick tips on how to optimize your content to generate more qualified mlm leads using SEO.
